Many women and even men tend to think that if a women is big-busted then she will automatically have difficulty in determining her right size in ladies bras! This does not necessarily apply. It needn't be rocket science; it really is about knowing your right size in a properly fitted bra. This can be easily resolved by going for a Bra Fitting aka Bra Measuring with a professional Bra Fitter. If this is not possible, an online bra measurement will do.
Before going into the nitty gritty of this topic, it may be best to take into consideration the benefits of wearing a properly fitted bra. Knowing the benefits is important as it is common knowledge that over 70% of we women wear the wrong sized bra and this includes big busted women. The bigger you are the more important it is to wear the right size. This also applies to growing teenagers and even younger ones who develop, mature and grow at a much faster rate nowadays! This does not determine the size of her busts which is often believed but it does determine her posture and the level at which her busts may sag. I have heard enough mothers say to me, the bra that their young daughter wears at this stage does not matter. But it does while they are growing more than any other stage!
Which style ladies bras you choose to wear is really down to the wearer, so long as the size and fit is right. My personal
preference is Plunge aka Pushup and Balcony aka Balconette bras and I wear a 32F. Please note I have not mentioned Full Cup bras aka Everyday bras. Wearing a Full Cup bra is not necessary contrary to popular opinion so long as the size and fit is right! However, I will only suggest you wear a Full Cup if you are an H in cup size and above or if this is your preference. This is because the straps on a Full Cup bra are more centrally located and would therefore give that little bit more anchor. But do not be fooled into thinking that the support of a bra lies in the straps; it lies predominately in the band.
My other preferences are also T-shirt and Strapless bras which I believe should be in every woman's lingerie drawer. A t-shirt bra is perfect under plain t-shirts, light and close fitting tops as its padding prevents ones nipples from showing and gives a smooth silhouette. The strapless bra for strapless and spaghetti tops and other multifunctional purposes. However, I do wear Full Cups bras from time to time but wear them more as a Plunge bra by sticking with my band size and going down in a cup.
Wearing pretty underwear is not the privilege of only smaller busted women. Once you get the above right and you know where to go, getting pretty underwear in bigger bands and cups should not be difficult.
We can therefore conclude that there are other choice styles in bras for women, the choice is really down to the wearer and of course the buyer!
