When most women decide they need a couple or more new ladies bras, they go to the shops or online, see some particular bras that look good to them and buy them. Plunge, balcony, full cup, half cup bra, they're all the same to them!
However, the reality is that ladies bras in the plunge style will certainly have a different look and effect to that in the full cup bra style. It's not a rule of thumb that you know and buy the different style in ladies bras, but it does help if you have at least a basic idea of the functions and fits of the most commonly worn bras which I intend to keep simple.
The most popular bras I'll be reviewing are the Plunge, Balcony, Full Cup, Strapless, T-shirt and Padded Bras.
The Plunge Bra aka Push Up Bra This bra is intended to bring your bust together and push them up to give you the desired cleavage. This allows you to wear them with V and low necked tops, still showing a cleavage on the outside without revealing your pretty underwear.
The Balcony Bra aka Balconette Bra As these ladies bras imply, their upper cups takes the shape of a near balcony. It often gives more lift and additional support than a plunge bra and at the same time gives you a bit of a cleavage which means you can often wear them with a square, low neck and sometimes a v-necked top which is not too
low.
The Full Cup Bra As this bra implies this bra gives you full coverage of the bust. It is designed to be worn with basic tops and is aka a basic or everyday wear bra.
The Strapless Bra which often also serves as a multiway bra. This means it is multifunctional and can been worn in more ways than two. It not only serves as a strapless bra but also a basic and in some cases a 5 way multi-functional bra such as a regular, crossed, halter neck, close-set and backless bra too! This style of underwear for ladies can always come in handy especially if you want to travel as light as possible or have a function after work or later in the day that requires you to convert your bra from basic to strapless bra etc.
T-shirt Bra aka Moulded Bra The name clearly says what it is. Similar to a padded bra but moulded and therefore without seams, makes it perfect under plain t-shirts, light and close fitting tops as its padding prevents ones nipples from showing.
The Padded Bra We all tend to wear padded ladies bras from time to time. However, this tends to be more popular amongst women with smaller busts, usually a cup size AAA to D. It's also common amongst young teenagers eager not to show any sights of their nipples. Some padded bras even have additional removable padding for extra enhancement to the busts!
As you can see no 2 bras in different styles are alike! At the end the day, the choice is yours!
