Before you start to seek out avenues of instruction, or start learning ballroom dancing, you will have to do two things: find a partner, and decide why you want to dance. Of course, while you are learning you can practice on your own, but you will not get much out of ballroom dancing if you do not have a partner to make it enjoyable.

Ballroom dancing lessons are fun! Women might be surprised to find out that most men would not really mind taking a few ballroom dancing lessons if approached about it in the right way. In fact, once most men take a lesson or two, they tend to really enjoy themselves. Now, don’t expect your man to become an instant Fred Astaire or Arthur Murray. Chances are he’ll either have two left feet, feel awkward and uncomfortable, or if you are lucky, completely love the experience. It’s up to the women in their lives to make sure that the ballroom dancing lessons are meant to be a time for fun and bonding in your relationship.

Catch a man early enough in the beginning of a relationship and most women will find that he puts out very little resistance to the suggestion of taking a few ballroom dancing lessons with them. Just think about your man’s motives. First of all in a relationship’s early stages, most men are still trying very hard to impress you. While they still might not jump in excitement at the idea, they will most li
kely still go with you to a few of them. Plus, ballroom dancing lessons will require him to be very close to you at all times. What man wouldn’t snatch at any opportunity in which he is actually required to hold a woman that he is attracted to for a straight hour… or three.

If you’re about to get married, then taking ballroom dancing lessons is a very logical suggestion to make to your significant other, especially if you are going to have a big traditional wedding. The first dance is one of the most memorable, most photographed, and definitely most video taped times at a couple’s wedding. What man would want to get up there in front of all of his close friends and family members and slip up during a spotlight dance? A few ballroom dancing lessons would give him the confidence to get out there and have a good time with you. Plus, your first dance will be sure to be a memory that you both will treasure for years to come.

If your man still really needs some coaxing to agree to take some ballroom dancing lessons with you, then remind him of the television show ‘Dancing with the Stars’. Make sure to mention the very sexy and very skimpy little outfits that most women wear while competing on the show. Not that most women will wear those outfits to a beginning lesson, but just the mere thought might get him to attend one. If that doesn’t at least intrigue him, then you might just have to find another dance partner...at least to take ballroom dancing lessons with.
