If there was any pregnancy advice that is really valuable it would probably be a sure-fire way of recognising pregnancy symptoms. Unfortunately it is not that simple as every woman may experience different symptoms whilst pregnant and some may not have any at all.

If there was any pregnancy advice that is really valuable it would probably be a sure-fire way of recognising pregnancy symptoms. Unfortunately it is not that simple as every woman may experience different symptoms whilst pregnant and some may not have any at all. Here in this article however we shall look at some common symptoms that women may have during early pregnancy through to the later stages.

The first early sign of pregnancy is usually a missed period-but this can also be caused my other factors. Some women still have periods whilst they are pregnant but they are usually much lighter than normal periods. After missing a period, nausea is usually the next sign of pregnancy and one way of helping it is by eating small meals throughout the day and by snacking on dry crackers and toast.

The next early symptom of pregnancy is usually swollen breasts that are very tender, often the area around the nipples known as the areola gets darker and broader. Some women have added that they have had a tingly sensation in their breasts which can be another indicator of pregnancy. Another symptom which I have found from well known pregnancy advice is that women may experience extreme fatigue. If you experience this then the best way to combat it is to take naps throughout the day to maintain normal activities.

By the sixth week a common symptom of pregnancy is a headache and napping is another way to deal with this. However severe headaches may also be the sign of preeclampsia or toxaemia and can be very dangerous to pregnant women, so if you are pregnant and begin to suffer from headaches it is important to seek medical pregnancy advice from your doctor.

Finally, one of the symptoms that occur throughout the whole of a woman's pregnancy is heartburn. In the first four months this can be due to the hormonal changes in the body. From months five to nine this can be due to the unborn baby placing pressure on the woman's organs. Eating frequent small meals is one way to help with this. Also it is beneficial after eating to remain in an upright position for at least an hour to help ease heartburn.

The first pregnancy for a woman can be an exciting and nervous time, so to help it is a good idea to gather lots of good pregnancy advice from a professional doctor. By the end of the fourth month of pregnancy, many of the symptoms we have discussed in this article subside and women begin to enjoy the feeling of being pregnant and looking forward to the arrival.
